Wildphyr's New CD 'Movement' Includes Track to Inspire
Political Action
Like so many of his fellow Americans, Griffin Stewart, lead singer
of the popular, L.A. based indie band Wildphyr, is fed up with the way our
so-called leaders have been running the show. But closing in on 2008, he's
hopeful that some big changes are just around the corner.
Speaking for everyone who is determined to change the political
landscape in the coming months, the singer/songwriter's infectious new anthem
"Americans On The Mend," is--in line with the title of his band's
debut CD--starting a powerful Movement nationwide. The song's lyrics bark our
frustrations, motivating us to take action. That means everyone with a stake in
the future of America, beginning with college students, those involved in
political campaigns, supporters of environmental causes, etc. It's about who we
are and what we can do.
You can hear them singing along with Stewart now, the rally cry
spreading like Wildphyr across the land:
"Americans on the mend/We are not our government/Americans
on the mend/We will make our government again!"
Stewart says, "The song is just stating what democracy is,
we the people, by the people, and for the people. We're not our government and
we can change our government again and again so that it works best for the
people that live within its protection."
The title Movement perfectly reflects the multi-talented singer,
songwriter and guitarist's own wild journey of personal and creative
self-discovery in Ireland.
"I was completely inspired there," he says
"That's where my family is from and those are my roots. I felt so
connected to the culture. I came back home and life started changing."
Stewart
hopes Movement will inspire listeners to get involved to make a difference for
America and the world.
